LYON, FRANCE & THE JURA

May 17-25, 2020

Luxuriate in the city referred to by those in the know as "the gastronomic capital of the world." Lyon is the birthplace of nouvelle cuisine in the 1970s under the legendary chef Paul Bocuse, and in recent years was chosen to be the official international capital of Gastronomy. With a range of dining experiences from Michelin stars to casual Bouchons—the Lyonnais restaurants that serve hearty classic local fare like charcuterie, duck pâté, and quenelles de brochet—our tour will teach you everything you need to know to understand the origins of modern French cuisine. We also visit the mountainous Jura region, tasting wines from producers of Cremant du Jura, Vin Jaune and of course we visit caves to taste France’s most popular cheese: Comté. Led by Palatine founder Maisie Wilhelm along with world renowned Zingerman’s Food Tours. Email maisie@palatine.co for more details.
